On June 28, we had the pleasure and joy of sharing our treasures with a group of students and teachers from the Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies of Boston College, accompanied by Fr. Casey Beaumier SJ. It was exciting to remember together the history of the archive of the Gregorian University: for more than two centuries, it was a center of cultural irradiation, educating priests, laypeople, and missionaries who reached the ends of the known world. Hidden during the times of persecution of the Jesuit order, it began to be used in the middle of the 20th century. The challenge is always to bring to light this exciting story to save memory and thus help us reflect on our present. Thanks to the visit of this group, it will be possible to initiate a series of diagnostic and conservation processes of an important 18th-century codex. Thank you very much, dear friends, and arrivederci.
